OD members enjoyed their time on Skye in April so once again I am posting the same invitation for the equivalent two weeks in 2025.

The house is a detached bungalow and is very well equipped, in an excellent location near Sligachan.
It is ideally suited for walks and scrambles in the black Cuillin, but the red Cuillin are nearby and there are a wide variety of easier walks available within one hour's drive such as the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing...

I go to Skye hoping to walk or scramble in the Cuillin, weather permitting, but on previous trips other guests have concentrated on easier walks. Several members have brought bikes and have cycled on most days (there is a summer house to store bikes.)

Because Skye is a long drive I would prefer to go for two weeks, but I recognize that many people can only do one week. So:

Week 1: Saturday 12 to Saturday 19 April
Week 2: Saturday 19 to Saturday 26 April.

(The Easter bank holidays in 2025 are 18 and 21 April.)

You can go for Week 1 or Week 2 or both.

I am looking for three people to join me.
The house has four bedrooms so everyone would have their own bedroom.
The price is £ 190 pppw.
(This is very good value bearing in mind the quality of the accommodation, its location and the fact that it's on Skye.)

If you are seriously interested, can you email me please using the OD email (or my private email if you already know it), including your own private email, so I can then communicate with a group of people using one common email.

Payment: the only way I can run these trips is if those coming agree to pay the full cost in advance, in this case £ 190 pppw - otherwise some people would just pull out randomly, as has happened in the past.

If you could not then come for any reason you would lose your money. However, if you cancelled a reasonable time in advance there would be a very good chance that a replacement could be found, in which case of course I would then refund the money paid.
(In 2023 two people did have to pull out, but we found replacements, so nobody lost any money.)

I recognize of course that committing to and paying for the trip nearly a year in advance is difficult for many members, particularly if they work. But good self-catering properties do get booked up quickly, and this house is excellent value for Skye. And it is the only way I can run these trips without exposing myself to financial risk !

So, if you definitely want to come you have to make a firm decision on which week you would like and be willing to pay for it in advance !
