BeBeebee66 on 21/08/24 @ 10:15I expect to be in the Keswick / Wastwater areas for first week of October so I will see if this can join the 'plan', will advise nearer the time
waLezW on 22/08/24 @ 9:17If weather ok I’ll be camping in the lakes, Coniston area so the old man would be good.
C1Chrissy 100 on 05/09/24 @ 13:37Possible for me too- If so, I'd come up in the camper Thursday/Friday and add a walk/pub meal or so.
SMSaltyMcSaltface on 25/09/24 @ 9:23Hi all still planning to do grasmere to sargeant man walk so maybe meet up 930am opposite the co op and take it from there . Fingers crossed for good weather
BeBeebee66 on 25/09/24 @ 17:49Beebee66: Hi, as you've said in the invitation if the weather is rubbish then there's some great low level walks around Grasmere Lake and Rydal Water, even calling in to Ambleside for coffee and cake 😋
on 27/09/24 @ 9:08I've booked the CAMC site at Troutbeck Head for just the Saturday night so I'll be ready for the start on the Sunday
JohnH on 27/09/24 @ 9:19Beebee66: I won't make it, the first bus from Lancaster doesn't get in till after 10.00 on Sundays. I'll keep a look out for other lakes walks though, have a great time 😀
boboatgirl on 27/09/24 @ 16:25Yippee will be lovely to see you all and we can do tea cake wine etc after our walk !!! X
BeBeebee66 on 27/09/24 @ 22:15Beebee66: looks like it's building up to be a great day 😀
JohnH on 28/09/24 @ 6:53If the weather closes in perhaps a low level walk from Elterwater (Britannia Inn) to Dungeon Gill for lunch and back?
Ant64 on 01/10/24 @ 8:29Ant64: there's lots of low level walks from Grasmere as I've said above, the coffin road to Ambleside is a great one, anyhoo, we can see on the day what the weather and the forecast is like, then our illustrious leader, BeeBee66 can decide 😀
on 01/10/24 @ 10:14Ant64: I think we should keep the starting place the same unless BeeBee66 decides to change it
JohnH on 01/10/24 @ 10:15Would have liked to join you all on this walk, but will off to see my mum this weekend, hope the weather is good for you all.
HHelvellyn40 on 01/10/24 @ 11:31Beebee66: I'll come down on the bus from Keswick which arrives around 9.30am Grasmere!
Wild Adventuress on 01/10/24 @ 21:09JohnH: yes, getting a bit carried away. 😂
Ant64 on 02/10/24 @ 9:29Ant64: It's better with too much rather than not enough 👍
JohnH on 02/10/24 @ 12:51Hope that you can make it for Sunday, cheers, John.
Hi
on 03/10/24 @ 9:17I'm keeping an eye on the weather as I guess we all are and very sunny today tomorrow and Saturday according to the Met forecast and changing Sunday . Typical !!! Let's keep with plan and meet at the co op 9.30 to 9.45am then head up to sour milk ghyll, easedale tarn and onto sergeant man if all looks ok . There are lower walks as mentioned in above comments and walks around by grasmere and rydal so plenty to choose from if raining cats and dogs . Fingers crossed for dryish weather .
😎
