The Met Office forecast for Saturday is pretty good, overcast but NO rain with only light winds, ideal for walking at this time of year 😊
This is the first walk for the weekend so that people can come for either or both making a weekend of it.
Meet at the visitors centre in Castleton from 9:30am for a 10am start. From Castleton we'll head up the path to the top of Lose Hill then SE down to Hope where if time permits we could stop for refreshments. Then we will return to Castleton along the path on the south side of the rivwer Noe.
With the short day light please bring some sort of torch, whether it be a head torch or a hand held torch.
I know that this is short notice but there were personal things that I had to sort out before putting the invitation up.
Also, I'm on a new painkillers regime so I'll be able to lead thsi walk OK.
Hope to see some of you on Saturday.
The walk is about 7 to 8km and has about 300m of ascent, so we should be able to do it in about 4 hours without going too fast.
Also, perhaps we could have a meal after it, let me know if you are interested in a meal.

Hi John,
RCRoland_CThe ridge up to Lose Hill is beautiful with great views. The weather forecast for Saturday is looking good. I would be interested in a meal on Saturday evening.
Roland_C: Hi Roland, that's great and for a walk it's up steep, but not too steep then a gentler downhill and a flat finish which is the way I like to do walks.
Nearer the time we can see if anyone else is up for a meal then we can look for a place.
The Met Office for Saturday is looking good, I also use yr.no which I've found to be good and their forecasts for both Saturday and Sunday are pretty good.
JohnH: your Peak District walks look great and I’d love to join. Thank you for keeping the invitations flowing. Unfortunately I’m working this coming weekend. Gutted as I’m getting cabin fever and could do with getting out there. Wishing you well with the weather.
BlondelassBlondelass: Hi, that's a pity that you can't make it this time. For a couple of reasons I couldn't put on the invitations any earlier so I know it will be difficult for people to make arragements at short notice especially at this time of year.
So far the weather forecast is looking pretty good so fingers crossed
Planning to join you on Saturday- Nick
SMSaltyMcSaltfaceSaltyMcSaltface: Hi Nick, that's great, we'll see you then, cheers, John
