How did the headlight conversion go?
I know that tgere can be problems with the Canbus.

Hi well as I said before it’s all down too the individuals budget and what you want out of the van …mine is now finished for the mo but the journey with the van and build will always be ongoing

I’m going through the painful journey of designing a campervan and looking at the prices. Conversion companies charge at least £15-£20,000 for labour and that’s for a month work. I have now found separate carpenters, Plumber, and electricians to do the work for a total labour cost of around £6000 fully kitted out with grid lithium batteries, inverters and sales et cetera shower low bed seating area and so on for further £6000 in the Van cost me £8500. Hi Ruth on Will base with 95,000 on the clock, nice drive but a long-term investment although I will still use tents as I love the smell of a tent! It’s easier to get around, with The packing and unpacking of everything👍

Hi the pop top can be insulated to protect you from the cold lots of videos on this on you tube or you can just buy a thermal cover for it but they are not cheap I’m just waiting for my new led headlights to arrive so I can fit them .: game changer for night driving

Outdoor adventurer: i have an on board domestic battery and inverter and diesel heater
Not sure on the pop top though. The headroom benefit is clear but i understand can be cold in winter.

I’d say go full if the money is there and yes it’s very very not cheap but if you do go part conversion maybe try and factor in build if you decide to change at a later date..maybe also a consideration is future proofing , ie off grid inverters/lithium battery are stupid money

I'll watch this with interest. I've been tempted to buy a campervan for years, or just buy a normal van and kit it out for my basic needs.
Only issue with a full on camper van these days is the eye watering prices.
I do need something a bit easier than camping for my two night getaways to the lakes this year.
I keep looking at small vans or roof tents.
