Costs of living
Hello my lovely outdoor adventurous peeps...
I live 5 miles from our beautiful moors and I know I am very very lucky to have them in front of my doorstep.
Nevertheless I love visiting the Dales and Lakes and meeting up with some dear " old" and new like-minded friends....
It helped me through my tough times over the last 10 years....Thank you so very much ...
I still would like to stay on here as I feel lost without it.....but now with everything going on in our world....I can't travel so far anymore ..
I like to say a big thank you to all the lovely kindhearted people who are still making time and effort planing wonderful walking events , for all of us....
You most prob won't see me as much on the fells further afield, but I am still here, enjoying all these wonderful photos and hopefully, we get the magic back with some bannter and laughs on here.

Lovely to hear from you and thank you for sharing your thoughts about this " subject"
I am blessed that a few dear friends of mine, are helping me alot by car sharing .....to get me out on our beautiful countryside, by either meeting me half way or giving me a lift.

Well done articulating the thoughts and situation that many must find themselves in.
Regardless of cost there is also the moral dilemma of the climate impact of long journeys too.
During the height of covid, lift sharing was not a realistic option, but perhaps now, as 'Admin' has suggested that could once again be an option.
The important part though is staying active and staying in touch.
I missed seeing so many of you last Novemeber in Borrowdale for the Rememberance service... Maybe this November???
Anyway Bea, I hope that you and all keep well , sane and healthy during 2023.

Bea thank you for posting this, I have exactly the same sentiments. The only difference is I'm a bit further south than you living in Sheffield but on the edge of the beautiful Peak District xx
