My instinct would be to say I prefer the west coast, but actually haven't been to that many places on the west coast apart from some bits of Cornwall and Wales. And Morecambe Bay which is beautiful with its views of the Lake District.
A couple of years ago I did a bike ride along the Northumberland coast and it was wonderful. I like the Lincolnshire and Norfolk coast too so I guess I probably prefer the east coast! I've done the C2C ride from Morecambe to Bridlington which is a great route.

I too prefer the west coast, though I can't really judge the east without exploring further. North Wales and Cumbria have some beautiful coastal areas, but the west coast of Scotland keeps calling me back.

I enjoy both coasts. Enjoy any walks really. Would probably say West as I enjoy the hills, so Lakes definitely. I walk mostly round Forest of Bowland, it's near to me. My son lives in Lincolnshire and have done some decent walks there but find it quite flat, though that can be really good for a change.

Much as I want to say Northumberland coast (proud North-Easterner) the coastline forever in my heart is west coast of Scotland. Swimming in the sea off Camusdarach beach - beautiful.

Well, Ive been an OD member since 2010 and have walked in places I had never been to, especially in the early days when this site was a friendship/walking sites more than a dating site. How lucky are we in the UK to have such a diverse range of landscape to explore. 😊
