My favourite is autumn. I love the autumn colours. When different species of tree are at a different stages of colour the countryside looks amazing. I like the low bright sunshine that lights up the leaves. And spiders' webs in the morning dew. I like the change from summer to winter that autumn brings. And I like not having to worry about sunburn even when the sun is bright.

Beautifully put Morninglover. I also love autumn for the early morning nip in the air and for the colour that bracken turns.

Yes, put very nicely,
I like how the seasons change

downtoearth65: I agree. The changing of the seasons is lovely. I don't think would enjoy living somewhere where all the seasons blended into one. We are lucky to have well defined seasons in the UK.

TrangiaVan: You're right, the cold mornings are lovely - especially when it's sunny too!

TrangiaVan: I'd never really considered how bracken changes colour. I went cycling last Sunday and thinking about your comment, I saw some wonderful golden bracken by the roadside. Thanks for that insight!

Daydreamer: Yes spring is a beautiful time of year. Oddly enough I find I can get quite melancholy in spring. It makes me think about how time is passing so quickly. And there is a sense of urgency to get stuff planted otherwise another year will be gone. Perhaps that's just me.
