Hi Kyle & Jess, will Steve remain active on this site,

lalandranger68   on 20/11/25 @ 10:13

Hi Kyle & Jess and thank you Steve for all your help over many years.
I've been a member for 11 years and we've been trying to keep the invites going on Outdoor Duo recently.

KTKath_T   on 20/11/25 @ 20:40

Welcome and good luck! Cheers, Patrick

Hi Kyle and Jess! Welcome. Exciting times! Can't wait to how you refresh and improve the site.

Morninglover   on 22/11/25 @ 13:01

landranger68: Hi! Yes, Steve will still be around on the site. He knows the community so well and we’re really grateful for his support while we get settled in. 😊

Kath_T: Thanks, Kath - 11 years! That’s practically Outdoor Duo royalty. Steve’s done an amazing job building this place, and we’re so grateful to the community members, like yourself, for keeping the invites going strong. We’d love to hear any ideas on making the invite system better or how we can help you promote them even more.🌿

Patrick: Cheers, Patrick! Appreciate the good-luck wishes - we’ll take all we can get. If anything breaks, assume it was definitely Kyle. 😉

Morninglover: Thank you! We’re buzzing about the refresh too. Slowly dusting things off, fixing the squeaky bits, and trying not to set anything on fire in the process. 🔧😄

Hi both. Steve made something very special here. Been a member since 2010 and in that time have made some wonderful friends and have lasting memories. Cannot praise it enough. Long may it continue. 😎

Rourky   on 08/12/25 @ 15:20

Hi Rourky,

This is so lovely to read, thank you. Steve really did build something special, and it means a lot hearing what Outdoor Duo has meant to you since 2010. Friends and lasting memories is exactly what we hope the community keeps creating.

We’ll do our best to look after it and help it grow, while keeping the heart of it the same.
😊

Hello I am Gerri the mum also helping out!

gerri.stevenson   on 09/01/26 @ 17:30

Brilliant to see the commitment to continuity and with support from Mum too...lovely to see.
Great bug warm thanks to Steve and for finding new appropriate and sympathetic people to take things forward.
I have a soft spot for OD having been involved from fairly early on and I think putting on some of the early events for which there was great appetite and solid attendance and support.
This has dwindled over the years.
Something not unique to OD and I would be more than happy to work with you to try and find the magic formula.
Best

trekkie: Thank you so much for this, it really means a lot to read. We’re very aware we’re stepping into something that’s been built with a lot of care over many years and absolutely want to hold that close.

You’re spot on about the early events and the appetite that was there. We’d love to learn more about that period and explore how we can gently bring some of that energy back in a way that fits how people connect now.

If you’re happy to share, we’d be really interested to hear what some of those early events looked like and what you think made them work so well at the time. We’ll drop you a private message so we can chat about that magic formula ✨🌿
